"The Fathers and Brothers of the Brooklyn Oratory of St. Philip Neri"
Father Dennis M. Corrado, C.O. -- Co-founder of the Pontifical Congregation of Oratory of St Philip Neri in Brooklyn and its Provost, Fr. Dennis was born and raised in New York City. Holding advanced degrees in communications and theology, he served as co-administrator for the Cathedral-Basilica of St. James for twelve years before initiating the transfer of the Oratory to and the restoration of its home at St. Boniface Parish. Father Dennis’s current apostolate includes presenting parish based retreats-missions around the country and abroad. In addition to his other responsibilities, Father Dennis is the President of the Breukelein Institute, the secular, not-for-profit charitable, educational foundation of the Brooklyn Oratory (www.breukelein.org).
Brother James Simon, C.O. -- Born in Kingston, PA, Br. James completed his undergraduate and graduate studies from Penn State University. A member of the Brooklyn Oratory since 1990, Br. James is the Director of Development for the Congregation for which he coordinates the Newman and Seminarian Scholarship Funds. He is a founding Board member of the Breukelein Institute and continues to serve as a Director. His current ministry is with Dominican Academy in New York where he is the Fiscal Officer and Director for Advancement. www.dominicanacademy.org
Fr. Mark Lane, C.O. -- Fr. Mark Lane was ordained in 1983 and obtained a Pontifical License in Sacred Theology in 1994. He served as a parochial vicar in Sydney, Australia, before joining the Brooklyn Oratory in 1990. He served as parochial vicar at St. Boniface from 1991-2000 and then as pastor from 2001- 2011. He is co-founder and board member of the Friends of Turkana (www.friendsofturkana.org). He was, until recently, the Preacher and Church Relations Liaison and continues to preach for CFCA/Unbound (www.unbound.org). He continues to minister in our parish by celebrating Mass and remaining an active presence. Father Mark is currently the Director of Campus Ministry at Regis High School, NYC.
Father Joel Warden, C.O. -- For five years Pastor of the Oratory Church of St. Boniface (http://oratory-church.org), Fr. Joel is originally from Buffalo, NY, and he joined the Oratory as a novice and resident in the fall of 1993. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1999 at St Boniface after completing his seminary studies at Oxford University, England. Father Joel holds a degree in Organ Performance from SUNY at Buffalo, as well as a PhD in Moral Theology from Fordham University. In addition to his parish duties, Fr. Joel serves as an adjunct faculty member of Fordham University.
Fr. Anthony Andreassi, C.O. -- Born in Yonkers, Fr. Anthony did his undergraduate studies at The Catholic University of America and trained for the priesthood at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie. He later earned a doctorate in history at Georgetown University with a concentration in American Catholicism. He joined the Oratory in 2004. He currently serves as Parochial Vicar at the Oratory Church of St. Boniface. In addition to his work in the parish, he teaches part-time at Regis High School (www.regis.org). Father Anthony has written articles and book reviews for both “America” and “Commonweal” magazines and recently published with Fordham University Press, “Teach Me to Be Generous: The First Century of Regis High School in New York City.” In addition to history, Father Anthony enjoys film and running half-marathons.
Fr. Michael Callaghan, C.O. -- Fr. Michael completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in Baltimore Maryland. He studied theology at Catholic University of America and St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore (S.T.B., M.Div.) He was ordained to the priesthood by William Cardinal Keeler on the feast of St. Philip Neri, May 26, 1990. He joined the Oratory in 2005 and currently serves as Executive Director of Nazareth Housing (www.nazarethhousingnyc.org). In January 2103 he was awarded a Master of NonProfit Administration from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. Fr. Michael conducts various activities including adult formation and social justice workshops and prayer opportunities while assisting in worship and sacramental life.
